The warbirds flew two events this weekend, one in Bangor, Maine and the other in Granite Falls, MN. Our summer season has started. We had media stops on every fuel stop, and have received numerous emails through our website www.flyingfreedom.us from the People of Maine who saw us fly in and welcomed us back. Here are some links to this weekend’s events.

All the warbirds performed flawlessly and are in top condition with no problems. Last Samurai made it to the Fargo Air Museum last night, June 17th. Betty’s Dream, Aleutian Tiger, Dakota Kid II and Whistling Death left Bangor, Maine late afternoon on the 17th and made it to Jamestown, NY. All birds were in the barn for the weather there last night. Today, June 18th they travel to Fargo to join Last Samurai at the Fargo Air Museum, where they will be on display from June 20-24th.

On the 24th all warbirds fly from Fargo to Minot, ND to the Dakota Territory Air Museum, where preparations will continue for the 4th of July Benefit Airshow – in honor of the families of the Great Flood of 2011, which happened last summer and destroyed over 4300 homes.

Then all warbirds go through scheduled maintenance in Minot while on display at the Dakota Territory Air Museum, for their trip back to Maine on July 18th. All for now.
