Flyover to Honor the Greatest Generation

“As a part of our ongoing mission, it was an honor for the Texas Flying Legends Museum to be involved in a cooperative effort to honor the men and women who have defended and continue to defend our way of life. The aircraft supplied by the Texas Flying Legends Museum represent aircraft from practically all facets of the air war in WWII. We are extremely proud to be able to provide the missing man formation that honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifices for our country.”

— Warren Pietsch, Texas Flying Legends Museum Director of Operations

USAtoday posted a great article about the importance of this event.

“It’s unique enough that those planes are fighters and bombers from WWII, but they are also flying a path that’s been severely restricted since the terrorist hijackings on Sept. 11, 2001.
